Kapwing lets owners cancel a Pro or Business plan from the paid workspace's billing settings. The cancellation turns off renewal; official help checked on July 14, 2026 says paid features remain available until the end of the current billing cycle.
Make sure you are in the correct workspace. Kapwing subscriptions belong to a workspace, so canceling from a different personal or team space will not affect the paid plan.
Cancel the paid workspace
- Sign in with the email connected to the paid workspace.
- Open that workspace's Settings.
- Select Billing.
- Find Cancel Subscription near the bottom of the page.
- Review the change, complete any survey, and confirm cancellation.
- Check that the plan information now shows the cancellation and downgrade date.
The exact layout may change. If the control is missing, confirm that you are a workspace owner or billing administrator and that you selected the workspace named on the invoice.
Preserve anything you need first
Export finished videos and save important source files, brand assets, subtitles, and project notes before paid access ends. Review what the free workspace keeps and which projects or export options may become limited after downgrade.
Also remove unneeded paid seats before a future renewal if the team is staying on a paid plan. Seat changes and plan cancellation solve different billing problems.
Cancellation is not account deletion
Do not delete the account merely to stop renewal. Account deletion is a separate, destructive action intended to remove data and may be irreversible. Cancel the subscription first unless you explicitly want the account and its content deleted.
Verify the result
Save the confirmation screen or email and note the end of the billing cycle. Check the next-renewal area in Billing; it should no longer show a future automatic charge for the canceled plan.
If the dashboard does not confirm cancellation, contact Kapwing support before the renewal date and include the workspace email and relevant billing details. Avoid sending full card numbers or passwords.
